My understand is that the ATO doesn’t care how u make ur money, as long as u pay tax!
That means u can make ur income illegally!

So all those overseas students who are running their unregistered businesses should be investigated by the ATO.

Furthermore, I believe that these Diagou stores should keep records of whom they are buy these products from, and what they earn overseas.

I’m base my comments simply on what I have read - thus it may be flawed.

What I find ironic, is the Chinese people don’t trust their manufacturers, yet these are the people who supply our raw material to many of companies.
