Gold prices moved within a range of approximately US$325/oz this past month, down from the US$540/oz range seen during April 2025.
The weaponisation of U.S. trade and the White House's erratic policies continue to push central banks away from the U.S. dollar. Gold remains the only global monetary asset with no third-party risk. In this environment, central banks continue to buy gold in the face of elevated geopolitical tensions and escalating trade uncertainty.
With Evolution Mining Limited, rather than getting caught up in day-to-day gold price volatility, I am staying focused on the long-term fundamentals of its mines.
