In my opinion, the short term outlook for GNC depends on rain falling on south eastern Australia. This is a volume driven company. Any problems to grain production will depress the SP. To my knowledge, Southern NSW and Victoria have marginal moisture in their soil profile and I’d be careful about loading up without a good start to their season. Hate to be a dampner on the exuberance of the cowboys on the other thread, but it could be quite serious for GNC if no rain arrives between now and the SPP allotment. Have a look at how the SP has tanked in the last two years around July when estimated crop yields began to be downgraded due to lack of rain (ditto ABB). However, if it does rain, its game on !
