    "I dislike the word " triggered "". ...... I dislike it also.... yet I've learned to use the term as, its as you say, a word the right loves to throw at any they happen to be trolling.

    Given that we're in agreement with the Conversation writer, the question arises about what value Dud places on honesty, calm and considered argument, the internal integrity of rhetoric and what +ve outcomes he hopes to achieve with his arguments.

    the right here love to use LibNat talking points and so they of course are thrown into the pandemonium created by Dud's positions.

    I've voted Liberal probably more times than I've voted Labor. but that was in the days when the Libs presented reasonable debating skills and used policy as a platform for their rhetoric. there was internal consistency in their arguments and, while antagonistic at times, they were generally more civilised. Now ay could consider voting for the "New" Liberals (neoliberal) who masquerade as moderates.
