It's a common trope to say "there outta be a law!" but certainly there "outta be a law" that board of directors can't trigger voluntary administration with a looming EGM!!!
But unfortunately a company like PWC charges a very large fee precisely so that they can fight any implications of their actions in court. I don't think we have the cash to take them on, and it would be a waste of shareholder money.
@Stig I doubt that he just blew it on expensive dinners, he likely owns properties, vehicles, jewellery etc. Maybe shares? Who knows.
Thankfully he was a complete fool and directly involved his family, so it's not like he can put the money and assets in his wifes name like dodgy dealers do here. Seen it happen heaps!
The question is what can the Malay government do about it, what are their "victims of crime" levies like etc.
