You might be right, but you also might be wrong! If you look at the recent monthly retail sales figures 'footwear' was one of the better performing sectors.
in any case, you can be sure management is hard at work maintaining their margins, expanding brands and the store footprint, and offering more private label products. ie a few other levers to counteract sales declining on a same store basis.
Having been a shareholder throughout this management's teams entire tenure, I'd be confident that if trading is falling away significantly, we will be informed. They are not likely to surprise on the downside.
