Over 70s short changed on Vaccine ...., page-3

The question we have to ask is the Government willing to sacrifice a few dozen Aussies over 50s (non breeding stock)
for economic reasons :
-that Australia will be sooner vaccinated (and the economy opened) by using Astra Zeneca for the over 50s rather than Pfizer/Modena
-that the AZ shot costs one fifth of Pfizer
-That the Government has tried to pick a winner (AZ + CSL) by granting CSL* the bulk of its $400 million of taxpayers funds for Covid "research"
-that compensation/NIDS costs would be lower for the aged than the under 50's

We have been excellent at curtailing the spread of Covid by diligently obeying the Government directives and now the Grey Brigade are
being rewarded by a 3rd World el-cheapo jab.........cheap as chips eh?

Last year the Government spruiked its investment in CSL in that it would lead to Aus exporting AZ in 2021!
IMO, the Government would have served the taxpayer better by acquiring an extra $400 mill of mNRA vaccines for
use 1st Qtr 2021.
We'll now have to get in the 3rd World queue and wait until the USA, Europe ,Japan , China etc are vaccinated so that we con
get our jabs. (look at israel's management of its vaccine roll out for God's sake!)
If there was a suggestion of a war in some God forsaken 3rd World hell hole we'd be all over it like flies, but when it comes to protecting our own citizens we're as slack as a whore's knicker elastic!
