Murchison Gold Operation
Kentor Gold Limited (“Kentor” or “the Company”) was advised overnight that it was unsuccessful in obtaining final approval for a finance facility. The facility was necessary for Kentor to continue to fund the ongoing operations at its Murchison Gold Project. The project is held in Kentor Minerals (WA) Pty Ltd, a 100% owned subsidiary of Kentor.
As a result, the directors of Kentor Minerals (WA) Pty Ltd, have appointed Peter McCluskey, Tim Michael and Darren Weaver of Ferrier Hodgson as Administrators of Kentor Minerals (WA) Pty Ltd.
This appointment has been made to give administrators and the board time to consider and evaluate additional finance opportunities. In the meantime, the mine is continuing to operate.
The voluntary administration applies to Kentor Minerals (WA) and does not apply to Kentor Gold Limited or the subsidiary companies that hold the Andash or Jervois projects. Kentor has requested suspension from trading of its shares until further notice.
