Hey Bluelight that other stock we follow hopefully should move along soon.

IMO if a major wanting FAR acreages a TO on the cards. Any thing less than a major, we re talking 3 way play or something with twist and turns.

Been in the UK the last week and below what Ive been reading.

Majors/Semi Majors have been forced to drill deep, due to oil thats easier to reach is under national oil companies with supply rationed by OPEC or in politically volatile parts of the world, West Africa. Until now the Americans and other governments worried about energy security and voters sensitivity to price rises and inclined to encourage drilling close to home. Obama had only encouraged such policy prior to the GMD. Bottom line here, West Africa in line and Senegal politically stable and has to be more attractive for investors.

GB targets are in 200-250ft, and these could be more attractive if deep drilling regulations are imposed in WA, which I DOUBT. However, its highly likely Obamas administration will set new regulations for drilling over 500ft; with tighter safety requirements and higher cost are inevitable. IMO WA will not impose such requirements with the need for taxes, jobs, etc. Again , playing to FAR cause in Senegal.

Not FAR favorite bloke, however Peter Voser of Shell expects the number of cars to rise from 900 million to 2 billion by the middle of next century. Aussie population could reach 40 million by the same time.

Most experts expect energy shortages in the decades ahead. The International Energy Agency reckons that investment of 1.1 trillion ANNUALLY in new energy projects for the next 20 years is required.

Alternative energy being put forward by some, its also not going to happen any time soon.
These are government policy choices and not at company consumer level. Forget that huge changers will take place while GFC is happening and recovering. Governments need to reduce budget deficits now; the shift to new energy sources will always require government support AT A COST.

FAR Senegal leases. If FAR lost its acreages, the Senegal government would most likely auction the leases with 20 million data its required. Consequently, IMO companies wanting our acreages would be willing to negotiate with FAR at reasonable terms, than risk losing them through red tap or an auction.

Companies are busy securing lease holds for the future. Majors can secure leases and keep them with promises, FAR not in that position, reason why I settle for a TO.

ME will strike a deal, just how good is the question.

Hang in there, it will come! Not expecting much in the 1/4 report, so don't get to excited with this expected soon.
