G'day Towie,
Matt Hill's family trust (held through HFT Nominees) owns 32,154,117 (4.95%) of the shares and 22,672,250 of the options (18.92%).
Matt Hill and his father Geoff Hill also have smaller individual holdings in the stock.
The options are 2 cent options, yet the company/management did not elect to adjust the pricing of the options to reflect the potential dilution from this rights issue... Are they naive or are they confident?
Some of the unexplored and previously mined veins in Talisman have grades that would make some miners get gold fever. NTL has announced this potential time after time over the last 3 years as the company has progressed its plans. People just haven't caught on to the fact that once they are bringing ore out of the ground that the company will be able to mine these crazy grades and explore areas using technology that they didn't have 100 years ago
As for the share price/rights issue, I have previously said I think a total raise of $5-6m would be best from my perspective. Here is a table I produced, I am by no means an expert at creating tables, it is just my thoughts. You will see as a baseline I have used the pre-announcement MCAP at 1.5 cents (the SP on the NZX before the rights announcement).
NOTE: I also thought the company was undervalued at 1.5 cents and that once it gets money to start up it will be worth multiples of what it is at now. Wait and see
I have highlighted my personal view of the optimum raise. It would give more than enough to begin producing via bulk sampling at Talisman (as you point out, the grades are crazy, do you think they will target the good ore or the bad ore?) and it also leaves some for working with Newcrest on a JV if it eventuates.
Something to think about anyway.
NTL is a small company, the staff are down to earth people, very friendly. They offer tours of the mine at AGMs and all that type of stuff. You should email the CEO if you have questions, his details are on practically every announcement![]()
