Undoubtedly. First the million mile battery may reduce resource requirements. More efficient batteries will require less cells for same performance. But with that, the price of production comes down, this will then make these items more attractive and affordable, bringing the demand up and beyond where started.
Keep in mind that million mile battery may be a car term, but the same tech will go into mass storage of electricity and also other items like cell phones and laptops.
