Wow... that's probably the best tweet i've seen in 2 and a half years. Spodumene stockpiles getting hoovered up quicker than expected. Its actually accelerating which is fantastic.
40% growth in demand YoY, while carbonate remains stationary due to weak demand. It just goes to show that even the best in the business (Benchmark), and those that think they're the best in the business (Joe Lowry) get they're forecasts wrong.
When spodumene prices rise, converters will suddenly scramble to get as much as possible at the lower price before the prices rise again. Its in their best interest to do so. But when all of them do this at the same time the supply just won't be there to accomodate them all causing a quicker than expected price spike!
The tide is turning my friends. Such an exciting time after all we've endured in previous years.
