I have just sent an email to the company to get clarification (if possible) about this issue. As soon as I have an update I will post it here.

One of the problems with promoting the company to big funds is that many won't touch stocks with SPs sub 10c or with huge share issues. The talk of consolidation was in the context of drawing in some large institutional investors who (for whatever reason) shy away from companies with "penny dreadful" SPs & multi-billion share issues.

Not sure if the RRS experience is a valid comparison, given the very different nature of that company, and the current climate for coal stocks.

We shall wait and see.
