My grand daughters 8 and 2 have to have a toy cleanout every 12 months, the oldest girl has her own tv and dvd player with a nice leather lounge to lay on ( was my dads), I can still remember her 6th birthday party at a park with lots of friends from school, they were lined up giving her presents and she was saying "next!" as she unwrapped and placed gifts, yes kids get too much, I will be more inclined to say take them to the beach more rather than just shovelling cash..
