fortunately I bought MIR for the first time ever last year at NTA after watching it at double digit premiums, as high as 25%, for years.
plenty of LICs now trading at substantial premiums,
not just MIR, also AFI, ARG, MLT, WLE, WMI, WAX, WAM, OPH , PL8, HM1, RF1.
even some fixed income LITs such as MXT are at small premiums.
good old AFI now on a 9% premium to NTA and very recently as high as 12% !!
WHF ( Whitefield ), until the recent SPP, has also this year been trading at a premium, as high as 7%.
I had never ever seen WHF at a premium in the past decade. Used to be always at 5 - 10% discount.

Rule no.1 for me....never buy LIC at a premium.
Rule no. 2 when tempted to buy at a premium, remember rule no. 1

how these LICs can trade at double digit premiums is just beyond me. some people are just crazy.
