Voters should not have been cheated of the chance to pass judgement on Rudd Labor in 2010 and by 2013 had every right to do so.
As for that gross exaggeration about setting low standards as the apply to nation-building and managing Australia throughout the ravages of the GFC, nothing could be further from the truth.
Australia's AAA Stable rating has just been re-affirmed on the back of all those world-best macro-economic KPIs. Nothing Tony Abbott says can change those facts!
But watchout if the global economy experiences further headwinds; Abbott will struggle to pay for all that welfare for the wealthy he has planned. His choices would be broken promises or moves that will slug mainstream Australians.
