Often in the oil game they will drill a hole beside it and when deep enough will break into the well. They can then control the pressure by using the weight of the mud (drilling fluid) and the high pressure pumps the rig has. Once they have control of the well they can then go deeper and set a plug and cement the lower section. The problem with the blow out in Indonesia and the flow of mud was that they couldn't get near the hole. Shouldn't be a problem with this hole - as I posted before they should be able to fix it with the usual - Time and Money One good point about it all is that even in the worst case senario only water goes into the atmosphere I've held GDY for quite a while and it's definitely slower than watching paint dry - good if you are into Zen.
