My stock radar sense woke me up early this morning to such a beautiful dawn of a rising behemoth! Oh, it's been such a long wait, tearing my hair out as companies with snake oil happily soared while Benitec with it's history changing technology with some of the best scientists in the world floundered.

My belief is that the best company to compare with Benitec is not Tekmira, Arrowhead or even Alnylam, but rather Amgen. All those companies are competing in the siRNAi space. However, Benitec are the only ones owning the ddRNAi space. Like Benitec, Amgen pioneered not just one drug, but an entire new class of therapeutics. Like Benitec, they floundered for many years and had to deal with drawn out legal battles. Just google search "History of Amgen" and see for yourself the parallels.

Amgen's market cap is now close to 100 billion. Will Mick Graham be considered the Florey of the 21st century?
