Back in the mid 90's I loaded 50 kilo bags on the head 4 days a week 8 hours a day for $10.27 GROSS per hour. I was a member of the TWU (no ticket, no start) while I was at Uni. If 6 to 8 blokes loading and stacking 50 kilo bags into 3 to 5 90 foot shipping containers a day is not backbreaking then what is. The award said 30 kilos was the maximum for an worked to carry, but I'm not the type to complain or shirk my responsibilities when I have family to feed. I have worked plenty of jobs which paid between 10 and 12 dollars per hour.

I would be more than happy to accept the 38K plus benefits and work hard for it.
