    You say @Nydem is 'emotional' but then make your entire contribution in capital letters - usually considered as shouting. Underlined capital letter contributions are often described as tantrums.
    I would agree with you that the Victorian financial doyens thought WES had 'bitten off more than they could chew' with the purchase of Coles, but WES managed their investment brilliantly and succeeded beyond most people's wildest dreams, and the divestment of Coles has left COL and WES as stronger companies.
    I would agree that WES investment in Homebase UK was a disaster.
    I think Bunnings and Officeworks are great successes, and Kidman is a work in progress.
    WES is still sitting on a mountain of cash so their next big investment will be very interesting.
