The market is just showing its usual form by overreacting....yet again. We all know that the market is irrational, driven by irrational sentiments i.e. fear and greed.
The spectre of cyclones raises its head every summer. Even though all indicators point towards a benign season. The wet season hasn't eventuated in more northern/equatorial regions and that is the likely scenario for our region. The massive storms of last wet in the southern part of QLD haven't eventuated to the degree of the past few seasons.
The latest announcement stated that the claims for last seasons weather events are still being processed yet the increase in premiums haven't shown through.
I...like every other long term holder get cheesed off with the gyrations of the share market but that is the nature of the beast. How else do you think the traders make a buck? Large drops like today just make for buying opportunities for profit down the track
