Losing patience is the first mistake of a poor parent, those parents usually need professional help in adjusting their own methods. Threats to their children, curfews, physical punishment have never worked, in fact it makes the children more rebellious long term. Either the parent or the children end up in gaol. Just about all life bureaucrats and politicians are bad parents and have no parenting skills because they are basically narcissists.
