revised cash costs for Perkoa.....$1500 US a tonne or 75c/lb
At the current zinc price of around 95c/lb a yearly profit of around $36m times 40% for us....$14.4m
If Zinc prices go back up to around $1.50 the picture is very nice.....profit around $135m times 40%......$54m
The upgrade proposal by Glencore would make it far more attractive,though cost and time details have not as yet been provided.
This would give Scotty plenty of cash to scratch around Mumbwa......where he no doubt sees the future for btr.
