The judge in the Centro case has referred the matter to mediation and in light of the comments at the CER and CNP AGMs, it seems likely that this is where it will get resolved. He has asked mediation be complete by April (from memory) and doing so would mean this case never goes in front of a judge again. Both the company and IMF (the funders) have vested interests in getting this resolved quickly.

You can get all of the details from the Commonwealth Courts Portal (eCourt), just Google it.

This, in part, explains why CER does not want to announce a distribution this half. If settlement is reached, it will strip cash that could be used for divvy payment out of the company.

As a somewhat humorous aside, if CER does successfully settle with all shareholders, I wonder if they will make a settlement payment to CNP for the 51% of shares they control? Could be a quick way of getting cash out of CER and into CNP without announcing a divvy.
