After a good google, assuming it's above board, I'm beginning to doubt those figures from the past claiming high energy input for the energy output of nuclear power?
One example states that the energy produced is 93 times the total energy consumed which blew me away to be honest but is it correct?

If it is we could use nuclear power to produce the infrastructure for renewable energy and shut the others down as fast as we can.

Then you get articles like this one comparing the estimated gms of CO2 produced for each Kw/h of electricity generated and it shines less brightly with its legacy of highly toxic waste.

    Technology g CO2 per kWh

Solar power, water power and wind power
    10 - 40
    Nuclear power plants
    90 - 140
Combined heat and power in private houses
    220 - 250
    Gas buring plants
    330 - 360
    New coal burning plants
    1'000 - 1'100

Confusing and lots of missinformation out there.
How much uranium is really available, as in practical to recover if the world was nuclear powered? 5 years, 50 years?
