I personally doubt the company is lying about their forecast earnings (which are higher than last year) and Du Bois is on record as saying he sees value at 55 cents at present. New Ceo's have a reputation of talking things down, blaming previous management (see Sol at Telstra) so they can start the growth from a low base and be given the credit for the recovery.
It is my opinion that Du Bois' strategy is to release announcements next financial year to claim a clean slate recovery as his own.
Aequs, not "Aegis" analysis was done months before they were given the buyback role which as we know is not independent of management instructions anyway. They have hardly bought the shares to prop the price as they have bought all the way down. The role is to remove shares from the registry.
