You can fit approx 5.697 standard bricks (that's including 10mm bed) in the same area as 1 HX block.

1500 SBE's is 263 HX blocks an hour, or 4.3 per minute. But that's top speed and only on straight walls, so in reality you could expect on average 2 blocks per minute. To some it might sound slow because a human could easily lay two blocks per minute, but it's two blocks per minute non stop that's the difference.

A good 4:1 bricky crew would probably top out at out 3000 rendered bricks per day on average (i'm being generous here too), which is 375 bricks an hour, or 62.75 HX blocks, or 1.04 HX blocks per minute at top speed.

A blocky 4:1 will probably pump out 1200 blocks a day over 8 hours on the high end, maybe average 1000 per day over all which is 125 standard blocks per hour. You can fit 1.4 standard blocks into 1 HX block, so taking that into account, an average blocky crew is putting down 89 HX blocks per hour, or 1.49 HX blocks per minute.

So i'd say on average the HX will lay at a touch under twice the average laying speed of a traditional brick/block crew.

Those comparisons are over a typical 8 hour day.

That being said, we also have to keep in mind that it's just a direct comparison to the laying speed of the HX and not indicative of what they will actually produce day in day out over an 8 hour day.
