I really don't know how people get these expert tags. There is only about 400-500kt of spod going to enter the market next year in my opinion across PLS/AJM/TAW and not much else from anywhere else in the world. That equates to about 50-60kt of LCE or a bit less than 1% EV penetration.
Those 3 companies will account for about 100kt of LCE at nameplate capacity for their respective stage 1 projects. KDR/AGY might enter the market in 2019, with KDR catching the tail end. We have supply from Nemaska to come and maybe someone like LAC in the next couple years.
Given China are aiming for something like 10% EV penetration in 3 years time anyone who think supply will outstrip demand is really underplaying demand or simply has next to no idea how long it takes supply to come on line.
Even if DEG finds a PLS like deposit it will be 2020 at least before they are producing. That type of deposit is still worth a lot but there isn't the supply tsunami coming that these experts suggest
