There doesn't seem to be much interest on this forum around ILU but regardless I shall add some commentary from time to time.
Maybe its unpopular because it has a fairly high beta with the market or because it has run so hard in the last few months and even so days, or simply because it is commonly on the list of most shorted stocks. Whatever the reason, I think there is much to look forward to in Iluka.
Some positives to start the conversation
- High demand and market share in a relatively tight market for its products
- High Beta (some may say that is a bad thing)
- Broker targets around $18 (maybe possible in the short term)
- In this enviroment cash is king so what better than a company that has cash flow from sales.
However no one can predict where the market is heading so nothing is for sure but to me it still seems pretty strong and may do better in the years to come (if you have a really long term view). Buying has really picked up from the last few days when there was really heavy selling.
