    What didn't work? what was abolishment suppose to do?

    Like I said in other post, giving it real go would take more than a couple of years to see its full effect. Not try it for a couple of years and 'run screaming backwards' when all you have been able to see is the initial negative impacts. There is absolutely to disagreement that the initial impacts will be detrimental to stock levels and economy performance but given time it will rebalance, time is the key..

    The incentive for the government to cut it now is much larger than back in Keating's time..there is no problem with being able to claim losses. I'm im not against that in particular im against the whole package that allows reduced tax on capital gains..
