    You’re missing the point entirely.


    Nobody’s claiming Ovanti is on the same scale as ZIP, SoFi, or Pushpay today. That’s not the comparison.


    The point is about trajectory—what turned those companies around when they were written off.


    • ZIP didn’t start turning until they gutted 11 markets, cut costs, and brought in a real CEO. Before that, they were haemorrhaging and nearly wiped out in 2022—after the Quadpay acquisition.
    • Pushpay made its strategic acquisitions after it had returned to profit under interim leadership and restructured its go-to-market.
    • SoFi and LendingClub both had funding, yes—but their problems weren’t cash-related. They were leadership and trust issues. And what fixed it? Replacing the top brass and executing.



    Same applies here.


    Ovanti doesn’t need $400M right now. It needs competent leadership, clear execution, and to deliver on its U.S. BNPL plan. The capital will follow that—because it always does.


    Let’s not forget: IOUpay raised $50 million in 2021, and it went nowhere. Why? Because the leadership at the time—including Aaron Lee—wasn’t paying attention to what was going on under their own roof. Money without governance is a bonfire.


    This time, the board looks like they’re taking it seriously:

    – New structure

    – Strategic licensing

    – U.S. market focus

    – A CEO search under way for someone with fintech and turnaround credentials


    So no—it’s not about what they don’t have now.

    It’s about whether the next step is led by someone who knows how to build it properly this time.


    Because every one of those big success stories started with a mess… and the right person to clean it up.
