Now for my usual anti money grubbing director rant:
On a more serious note when is corporate governance going to put measures in place to stop this type of gratuitous rip off by directors against share holders.
The holders of OZL voted loud and clear at the recent AGM re this guys "Back slap" from his mates on the board. So what do they do - they turn around and spit in the shareholders face by pulling this stunt. The arrogance is nothing short of astounding.
Someone posted on a previous thread that hegarty deserves it because he made him (the poster) a "heap" over the years. What a numbskull argument - that was his job and he was paid very well for his services during this time.
Being a director of a pubic company is not a passport to rich's - it's a job just like anyone elses and they get paid to do that job - very handsomely in most cases.
When is this old boys club culture going to be stamped on like it should be.
