I think John's post is quite clear.
He does not dispute the legal ownership with Thor, but as they have not filed one bit of paperwork he is concerned that he is carrying legal risk for injury etc.
In a risk reward scenario it sounds like he feels he is carrying risk whilst others are exposed to reward.
For Thor to clear this up is not much to ask. When companies rush to their own defence but cant clarify this one thing it does look pretty ordinary. We are talking moral issues?
One would expect a very prompt resolution in these sort of scenarios; assuming of course that my interpretation is correct.
