In the thirties there were quite a few small gold mines in the area that hauled their high grade gold ore to the Tarcoola state battery.
The potential for sediment hosted base metal mineralisation has been talked about for many years.
I worked in the area directly south of the WPA in the early 80's on regional ground based geophysics. People were wishing they had access to the WPA then. No one has been able to look at it using modern geophysical methods or just have entry for exploration in over 50 years.
Another coup for the OX I think :)
I remain a true believer P/E and all.
