The market does not really appreciate how far advanced the thinking on Prominent Hill really is.Whilst the formalities as to ASX announcements on the first resource calcs will be out mid-year, they are already well advanced on initial mine plans- the orebody is nice and wide at these depths, is consistent from section to section, rock competency is terrific,-it should be amenable to one large open stope, ie straight forward underground mining practices at a healthy grade around the 4% copper mark,plus an attractive gold credit to throw in.
Additional infill and extension drilling in the second half coupled with a scoping study leading to full feasibility commencing by Xmas-a rapid development timetable for all concerned!
Prominent Hill should then dovetail nicely in behind the Laotion copper production.
(In the meantime watch out for further good announcements flowing from around Chatree in Thailand, and maybe something on the China front where they have been quietly beavering away avoiding attention!)
