Thats a fair comment ... I am trying this as a strategy that is different to how I invested just a few years back ... you wouldnt be surprised to learn that it REALLY focusses my attention on understanding the fundamentals of the industries I am investing in lol.
For example, I have taught myself an awful lot about coal bed methane over the past two yrs and underground coal gasification over the past 6 months and have average gains in those two investments well over 600%. The research gives me the confidence to hold when the investment hits pay dirt rather than taking early profits. But you really have to dig n delve and step back at times.
In those types of investments I am really looking for turnaround stories with name changes and what I believe to be fundamentally viable new business, preferably with an energy theme.
