Fully agree on Senator Brown. Farming is a business these days and kudos to those who can make it work. The greens will be the end of this country and the lifestyle we live.
As I understand it APPEA were to represent the gas companies and were ready to be interviewed. Not sure what went on or why this didn't happen. Maybe it was because it mainly ended up being a dig at QGC.
I have no worries about people questioning what is poor practice or heavy handed dealings. The gas companies to a large extent have themselves to blame for where they are at. In the early days the districts in the Surat were very happy to see business and wealth flow into their towns. Since then though it has been a downhill spiral of community relations that could have been have been averted with some transparency and education. Now its an uphill battle against people who are passionately opposed to these developments.
