yeh...they were a favourite deserved of the title....that Smith in the IM went great, even though they ( some media) were trying to say this morning he was a good medal favourite after heat swim!
know nothing about competetive swimming, but from observation, a red hot heat or semi swim when final is on same day, is not always great news!
pressure is another killer...e.g. Cate Campbell last Olympics as a classic example, and the young bloke in first Olympics in 400m men's freestyle this morning who was favourite ! Oz got Silver...good to see upset for Tunisia though! better than U.S. or Russia, China etc
