That history is a liitle bit before our time but there is no doubt that historians like Reynolds were and are politically motivated. Keating with his own anti-WASP bias enthusiastically embraced these fabrications of Aboriginal history for his own agenda.
The same, in many respects, is true about the "Stolen Generation". Many of those children were sent to missions stations, by their mothers, to protect them from sexual abuse in their own communities. There are too many stories of young children being given to white men in exchange for alcohol to ignore. One day that "history" may also be corrected.
