OZ Minerals agrees to Chinese takeover February 16, 2009 - 4:25PM Embattled miner OZ Minerals has agreed to be taken over by China's state-owned Minmetals group, according to an announcement by the Melbourne-based company.
The Chinese company will offer 82.5 cents per share, compared with OZ Mineral's most recent trading price of 55 cents.
Minmetals will retain the company's headquarters in Australia if OZ Minerals remains successful, the Chinese company said.
