I could not be so certain, @Berger978456 You seem to be up with the play though, one thing which I was thinking about following the acceptance last week from the target board.
A prompt acceptance was obviously something well-constructed and to all intents and purposes a big plus. But as we have seen with our friendly Banking Royal Commission you have to be very careful to always act transparently and certainly not be seen to offer inappropriote inducements, not saying that here, but it seemed to me to be a benefit nevertheless.
I have always felt T/O’s can and are often completed with both parties satisfied on the final outcome. sometimes the longer they drag on more complications can pop up. Still as a holder of both stocks, something is nagging a little. Now that the AVB directors have (2ndMay) accepted the offer I guess it’s easier to muse on this and see what folk think.
In the deal we have (I say we as in holders) we have included a cash payment available to only AVB directors in the form of a .7c cash out of 150 million options, these were excersizable .10c eg you had to spend .10c to get a benifit, not needed now of course, so effectivley they just get cash. It is not small money and I wonder would the directors have taken this into account in making their decision the bid was fair, is this sort of thing something we should worry about, could it be inferred as an inducement, or do I perhaps I watch too much Royal Commission.
No doubt we have some more experience folk who have a view on this.
Cheers
Phil.
