Perhaps consumers have got fed up buying crap products that last barely 12 months. As for food, most of that is rubbish also. A good example is Bunnings hardware products; the quality has gone down and down, and price up and up. This is not necessarily due to Chinese quality manufacture or costs but Bunnings chasing low cost[low specifications] and high profits. I now find myself avoiding buying products in these stores as I know they will break or break the bank! Roll on the day Woolworth's enter the market as they at least have good quality control. The Australian consumer, as elsewhere is becoming more savvy, and those stores giving good value will expand their sales.
