truliapro, this work is only at the mouse study stage I am not sure where it will go from here. However, the Kirby Institute works closely with Johnson & Johnson (as well as Calimmune) and it would appear that J&J recently conducted a trial of gene therapy against HIV and this work is now being developed by the Kirby Institute and Calimmune.

This just confirms what many of us have thought, J&J is very close to Calimmune's research. Some how I cannot see J&J not expecting to get a return on the money that they have put into this research so I would guess that they will have first right of refusal when if and when this technology gets partnered with big pharma. An announcement of a Calimmune/J&J partnership would certainly have flow on effects for Benitec.
