Hi Dasa,

I was surprised by the strength of the US dollar during the GFC, so things dont always work out as you think they should, but my thinking is that the US cant raise rates substantially or else it will kill thier economy, (if it isnt already dead), especially with the unsustainable debt load the country now carries.

The only ways out of the debt quagmire is devaluing, whether that be by printing their way out of it, (but you cant force banks to lend), or keeping rates at unsustainable levels causing the dollar to weaken substantially.

or alternately you could run a balanced budget and instill faith in those who have let you run up this huge tab, but that would require more pain than most would bare, so that wont happen IMO.

Keeping our $$$ in US, is a gamble, we are an Australian company, after all.
