I think it was the huge cascade stop-loss-o-thon from $20 to $16 in May. The recovery from that was (as usual) too fast and unsustainable. You are right in that there is likely to be a trader bounce just based on the oversell on the hourly today, but on the daily it might seek that RSI oversold or close to it before resuming some normalised growth.
