Melb & Syd are having a correction. Sure it is a good investment now, because you get some discount. Some are predicting a collpase. What happened if the price stabilise & goes back up again. Canada stabilised & goes back up again. Ireland stabilised & goes back up again, USA stabilised & goes back up again.

Scrapping of negative gearing is an idea, it may not be scrapped or it may be partially modified or it maybe scraped with other alternative benefits for investors. You don't know.... It is like making an assumtion from a penny stock speculation that it will go to the moon, because of... because of... because of... therefore it will multi bag & I'll be rich "hopefully" or suspended & lost the lot, .

You are forgetting to mention the Collapse of Americas 4th investment Bank and the trigger for the Global Financial Crisis.

I understand how Australians would not remember the pain those events caused because we had a very hungry neighbor to the north who wanted our resources so we escaped.- this has given us a delusional sense of economic strength.

Unfortunately our big neighbor is no longer hungry.

This time we are all alone.
