No one is saying bailout, or government money or anyhting like that.
Its a guarantee over a ST project 95% complete. Unlikely to ever use a government $ and it will provide $25B in taxation revenue.
If the company falls over because of Australian banks (government protected)not rolling over existing facilities on a 100% viable company and our third largest miner than its in our national interest to ensure there is no hiccup in credit crunch. We dont need the dislocation.
This is about a viable company being attacked by Australian Banks hiding under a government backing not doing what they have been requested to do. by the government.
