yes you are correct it wouldn't reduced the number of holders, however as time goes on i think it could.

eg, just say i have a small trading account, so for me to buy, lets say wow. i could buy 100 shares (according to my rules of risk), this to me isn't enough holding to make a good profit after brokerage.

So perhaps if the share price was 3 bucks plus, it might reduce the number of small holders..

But then again if you brought 1 coke share when it floated you'd be rich, well your children be rich, you be dead.

So there be two sides to this, it could reduce the amount of traders, but maybe not so many long term holders..
