Whats more a friend of mine was telling me he watched some fox news on the weekend just for some amusement in NZ.
They were absolutely shocked at the downgrade to AA+, one presenter basically accused the MD of Standard and poors of being unpatriotic! Also what really made him (my mate)laugh was that the two other countries that are rated AA+ by Standard and Poors are New Zealand and Belgium. Fox kept playing a table showing how they were now in the same company as NZ and Belgium, and you could sense the total disbelief that they had slipped to occupy a position with New Zealand.

But really what do you expect The US master minds I bet would still think along the lines that size matters. They cannot comprehend that small countries could be better managed than big ones. A bit like small companies can be better managed than big ones.
