Look I love the idea of a nuclear power industry in Australia but you gotta ask yourself are we up to it and by that I mean I have great admiration for the Japanese but when they had the choice, build a reactor on the western side which is completely protected from the Pacific Ocean or build one one the eastern side which is prone to tsunamis they chose the eastern side. And its not like they didnt give it some thought they built a wall around the reactor to protect it from water. So if the really clever Japanese cant get this right what hope is there for us? We would probably put the reactor in a fault line OK the Americans beat us to that one with their one in California but can you see where Im going with this. Im not saying that Australians arnt smart but we did land on the wrong beach at Gallipoli, we did send troops to Singapore just in time to surrender, we built a bridge in Melbourne that fell over and we made a man the Minister for Women.
